As Vice President of Research and Development, Shashi leads product and packaging development, research and innovation and food regulatory affairs. He joined Rich’s in 2016.
Shashi formerly worked for Britannia as head of R&D Excellence and Value Innovation. He spent 13 years at Wrigley and was instrumental in setting up a green-field R&D Centre. He eventually led Wrigley’s innovation team in emerging markets as director of Innovation. He also served as Chief Technology Officer at United Confectioners, Moscow, and has also worked for Perfetti Van Melle, Nestle and Glaxo Smith Kline.
He earned his master’s degree in Product Development from Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science from National Dairy Research Institute.
Shashi and his wife, Mandakini, are based in Pune and have two grown children.
